“Her”
Nicole Marie Hunt is an Esper Studio, Meisner-trained actor, writer and activist from New York and Washington D.C. She relocated to the Midwest to be closer to her family, the equally artistic Hunts . In winter of 2018, Nicole made her Detroit stage debut in the role of "Abigail Caldwell" in the Detroit Repertory Theatre's production of Evidence of Things Unseen, directed by Lynch Travis. Having stepped away from acting in 2008 to work with the Obama Administration as a community, campaign & labor organizer, the role of "Abigail" was Nicole's first time on stage in almost a decade. Since then, she has performed in various film, tv and theatre productions throughout the area. Next up, Nicole is ecstatic and honored to have the opportunity to originate the role of ASHLEY in the world premiere of Lee Edward Colston IIl's Roost with the Plowshare Theatre Company in Detroit, Michigan, under the direction of Gary Anderson.
Always the activist, Nicole is especially drawn to theatre and film projects that are social-justice and issue driven. She says, "...that type of work feels like home... It's a blessing to get to pursue work that I am deeply passionate about in the company of some phenomenal artists and truly visionary communities".
Nicole would like to thank her family for their unwavering support. She dedicates this performance to all of the people around the world who, like her, have lost loved ones to Covid-19.
